Biennial Southern Illinois Neuroscience Retreat
The Southern Illinois Neuroscience Retreat is a biennial event. Everyone from students to established researchers are encouraged to present their latest work, whether data driven or theoretical. Topics range from studies using molecular biological techniques in in vitro systems to studies of human behavior. Presenting options usually include very short (5 minutes, usually 1-2 slides) Data Blitz talks or longer (15 minute) talks. In addition, posters are available for viewing. Past retreats have drawn participants from all areas of Illinois and all levels (and kinds) of research which makes for an exciting event. There will be plenty of time to chat informally with presenters too.
Our 6th Biennial Retreat will be held September 7-8, 2012 in the DoubleTree Inn at Collinsville Illinois. Currently we plan on a Friday poster session with a plenary speaker, Dr. Gualtiero Piccinini from the University of Missouri, St. Louis speaking Friday evening. Data Blitzes and longer talks will take place on Saturday from 8:30am-3:00pm.
